2017 Ferrari 488 GTB

Hilton & Moss are delighted to present this highly specified 488 GTB at our Hertfordshire showrooms.

There are few cars that better demonstrate Ferrari’s ability to combine outright performance with everyday usability than the 488 GTB. Arriving in 2015 as the successor to the much-loved 458 Italia, the 488 represented a significant step forward, introducing Ferrari’s twin-turbocharged V8 to its mid-engined berlinetta while retaining the drama, precision and sense of occasion for which Maranello is renowned.

The 488 GTB’s 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 produces an extraordinary 661bhp, delivering its performance through Ferrari’s lightning-fast seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The result is a car capable of reaching 62mph in around three seconds, yet one that remains remarkably composed and accessible when driven at more sensible speeds. The steering is beautifully direct, the chassis exceptionally balanced and the engine delivers a seemingly endless wave of acceleration.

What makes the 488 so special, however, is that its performance never comes at the expense of usability. It is a car equally happy carving through a favourite stretch of B-road, crossing Europe on a grand tour or simply being enjoyed on a Sunday morning. The cabin is beautifully finished and driver-focused, with Ferrari’s now-familiar Manettino selector providing the opportunity to tailor the car’s characteristics to the road and the mood.

This 2017 example is particularly appealing, finished in the understated and sophisticated shade of Grigio Titanio over a Nero interior with 20 inch forged and diamond cut wheels and yellow brake calipers. With just 7,800 miles from new and accompanied by a full Ferrari service history, it presents a compelling opportunity to acquire one of Ferrari’s defining modern-era supercars with the provenance to match. The car also benefits from full front PPF protection as well as to the side skirts, wing mirrors and rear bumper edges.
