
Manufactured on the 7th of January 1958 and dispatched to New York on 14 February 1958.
Originally supplied in Cotswold Blue with Dark Blue Leather.
Imported to the UK in the 1990’s.
Restored by Jaguar specialists Robinson & Godwin between 1998 and 2000.
Restoration included extensive bodywork, repaint, replated or replaced brightwork, and a full interior retrim in cream with a new hood.
Mechanical rebuild included the engine, gearbox, overdrive, clutch, rear axle, steering, brakes, fuel system, and complete electrical rewiring.
Additional modifications include later-style rear lights, locking rear storage compartment, and hydraulically assisted boot lid.
Used regularly after restoration on Jaguar club events, European tours, and a tour of the southern United States.
Later upgrades include Coopercraft disc brakes, power steering, electronic ignition, and a further gearbox overhaul in 2017.
Substantial invoices on file for servicing and remedial works.
Prior to its most recent tour of Spain, which was over 1000 miles, it was extensively serviced.
