Exterior
Finished in elegant Venetian Blue with Winchester Grey leather, this handsome LS400 presents a rare opportunity to acquire one of the finest luxury saloons of the 1990s in excellent, low mileage condition. The metallic paintwork has a deep and consistent shine throughout, befitting a car that has clearly been cherished from new. Panel fit is excellent and all exterior trim, brightwork and glass remain in superb condition. The original alloy wheels are showing some age-related wear so a perfectionist may choose to refurb, but shod in quality Yokohama tyres, they’re still a perfect complement to the understated elegance of this flagship model. Original gold badges are the finishing touch.
Interior
The cabin is trimmed in sumptuous grey leather and offers a wonderful insight into Lexus's obsessive attention to quality and craftsmanship. The upholstery is beautifully preserved with only very light signs of use, while the wood trim, switchgear, carpets and headlining also present well. The front seats are fully electric, and the rears are also heated. Every aspect of the interior reflects the car's remarkably low mileage and careful ownership. Renowned for its comfort, refinement and build quality, the LS400 still delivers a luxury motoring experience that rivals many modern executive saloons.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Power comes from the legendary 4-litre quad-cam V8 engine, producing effortless performance with exceptional smoothness and refinement. The engine starts instantly, idles quietly up to temperature, and delivers power seamlessly through the automatic transmission. The LS400 remains one of the most highly regarded 90s luxury saloons, thanks in no small part to the durability and engineering excellence of its drivetrain. Prior to sale, the car has benefitted from a fresh service, ensuring it is ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian.
History File
Supplied new by Culver Lexus in April 1997, this LS400 remained with its original owner for 22 years, changing hands for the first time in 2018. The accompanying history contains the original service book showing 10 service stamps, of which nine are Lexus main dealer entries. In addition to this we have just had a fresh service and inspection carried out for the new keeper’s peace of mind. With its low mileage, excellent condition and provenance, this fantastic example is fast becoming a highly collectible modern classic.
