2001 Bentley Continental R 'Le Mans'

Celebrating Bentley's historic return to Le Mans!! 1 of only 46 built.

A very special car finished in a beautiful shade of blue with a cream leather interior and showing just 31,000 miles.

The Continental R was already one of the great modern Bentleys: imposing, elegant, hand-built and immensely powerful. The Mulliner version took this further still, adding greater performance, wider bodywork and a more purposeful stance, while still retaining the sense of luxury and occasion expected of a coachbuilt Bentley coupe.

This particular car, the rare Le Mans Editions, was an even further step again. Produced to celebrate Bentley's return to racing at Le Mans after an absence of 71 years. Production was originally planned for 50 examples, although only 46 were ultimately manufactured, making this a genuinely rare and collectible Bentley.

Finished in blue with cream hide, this car has a particularly handsome. Owned for many years by a great friend of ours, and known for his diligent way with his work, life and cars this is another reflection of how he was.

On the road, the Continental R Mulliner Le Mans Edition is exactly what one hopes it will bel; effortless and refined. It has enormous torque and you feel that behind the wheel, a commanding driving position and that wonderful sense of weight and quality that only a hand-built Bentley of this period can offer. It is not a car that needs to be hurried, but when asked, it delivers its performance with real authority.
