Exterior

The Agate Grey paintwork on this low mileage 981 presents extremely well with a deep metallic shine and very few blemishes to report – our studio photos really don’t do it justice. There are no scratches or dings along the sides with little more than some expected light frontal stone chips visible on close inspection. The body-coloured/diamond cut 20-inch SportTechno wheels pair very nicely with the car and also remain in fine condition with quality Pirelli tyres all round. The headlights are clear and free from discolouration, all trims and seals remain in great condition, and the badges are perfect.

Interior

Very nice specified in Platinum Grey, the cabin has an airier feel compared to the usual dark interiors. Better still, not only did this car receive the rarer manual gearbox option, but also heated sports seats, Bose surround sound, PCM with navigation, DAB radio, electric folding door mirrors, and parking sensors front and rear. In line with the low mileage of only 32k, the deeply bolstered seats are really well preserved with no wear to the leather other than the usual driver’s side surface wrinkles. Both the steering wheel and gear knob are immaculate with a shine-free texture, and there is no notable marking to any of the switchgear, console trim, or door pulls. Original Porsche overmats are retained in the footwells, and both front and rear boot areas are pristine.

The beautiful manual 981 Cayman was supplied new by Porsche Centre Reading in December 2013. It has now driven 32k miles in the hands of 5 registered keepers. The accompanying paperwork includes the original Porsche document pouch with all owners’ manuals, the fully stamped maintenance book, a selection of invoices and MOT certificates, warranty documentation, and the current V5C registration certificate showing 4 former keepers.
