2010 Maserati GranTurismo MC Trofeo GT4 Road Legal | Finished in Matt Blue Wrap (White Paint)
A rare and highly focused track-bred Maserati, believed to be the only road-registered GranTurismo MC Trofeo GT4 in the world, built as number four of just 42 factory MC Trofeo works cars.
It is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.7-litre V8, now producing around 506bhp and running on 99 RON fuel, driving the rear wheels via a six-speed automated manual transmission.
This example was originally campaigned in the Maserati MC Trofeo one-make series before being converted to GT4 specification and was later adapted for UK road use with a series of mechanical and emissions modifications by Stuart Winterton.
Although manufactured in 2010, this example was first registered for road use in December 2019.
This MC Trofeo competed in four of the six rounds of the original series, including races at Paul Ricard, the Red Bull Ring, Virginia International Raceway, and finally Abu Dhabi, which marked the final race of the series in December 2015.
The race-prepared model featured unique manifolds, a bespoke air intake, no catalytic converters, no ABS, and a gearbox without an automatic mode. It also benefits from a fixed damper suspension set-up with uprated anti-roll bars, a bladder fuel tank, and unique 18-inch alloy wheels measuring 11 inches wide at the front and 13 inches at the rear. Further features include Plexiglass windows; composite front wings, bonnet, nose cone, boot, doors, and rear bumper; Sparco six-point harnesses; a rear diffuser; straight-through rear exhaust pipes; front canards; and a front splitter extending into a full flat-floor aero section. Inside, it features a white-painted roll cage, black cloth-trimmed Sparco Pro-ADV bucket seats, and a carbon-fibre dashboard, transmission tunnel, and door cards.
Equipment includes an FIA-compliant roll cage, fixed damper race suspension with uprated anti-roll bars, 380mm front and 326mm rear vented brake discs with multi-piston callipers, a plumbed-in fire suppression system, an AP Racing pedal set, a Magneti Marelli digital display with LED shift lights, a custom centre console with toggle switches, an AP Racing brake balance control knob, a GPS speedometer, and a removable Alcantara-trimmed Sparco steering wheel with integrated controls.
This GranTurismo’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in July 2024 at approximately 18,000km by AV Engineering and Sports Italia, including a full check-over and engine oil change.
The car is accompanied by the V5C and a substantial package of spare parts.
