The arrival of the second generation 997 Turbo S wasn’t about adding more – it was about finishing the job. With increased power and a comprehensive standard specification, it marked not just an evolution of the Turbo, but its full expression.
Power comes from a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six, closely related in character to the Mezger-engined cars that came before it, delivering 530 hp to all four wheels via the intelligent Porsche Traction Management system and 7-speed PDK transmission. 0-62 mph is dispatched in just 3.3 seconds, with relentless acceleration continuing on to a top speed just shy of 200 mph.
The result is a true Supercar combining refinement and usability with the devastating, all-weather pace that defines the Turbo S.
Supplied new in March 2011 by Porsche Centre Reading, this UK-delivered, right-hand-drive example was retained by Porsche Cars GB for its first five months before being sold to its first private owner later that year. Just one further keeper followed in 2016, making for notably low ownership for a Porsche of this calibre.
Finished in Ice Blue Metallic with a factory-optioned Aerokit and side skirts, it sits on gloss black 19-inch RS Spyder centre-lock alloys, the signature yellow PCCB calipers clearly visible through the spokes.
The striking interior, a Turbo S exclusive, is trimmed in two-tone Black and Titanium Blue full leather, complemented by a hint of carbon fibre. The three-spoke Sports steering wheel features PDK paddles for manual changes, whilst the Sport Chrono Package allows driving characteristics to be tailored to suit your mood.
Specification is both extensive and considered with comfort and usability sitting alongside performance-focused engineering. Electrically adjustable front seats (with driver memory) are both heated and ventilated whilst features such as cruise control, fully automatic climate control, PCM with navigation, telephone module and universal audio interface are all present, complemented by a BOSE surround sound system.
This Turbo S benefits from a full Porsche main dealer service history, with stamps from OPC Exeter in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019, the latter being a major service. Since then, the car has covered just 1,624 miles, seeing little more than the occasional trip for its MOT. It will be fully inspected, serviced and prepared within our Williams Crawford workshop, ensuring it is presented to the highest standard for its next owner.
Complete with 2 keys, original book pack with service book and manuals, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and our own 6 month warranty.
This is a car that perfectly captures the moment Porsche refined the 997 into its final, fully realised form. Effortlessly fast, comprehensively specified and remarkably usable, the Turbo S remains one of the most complete performance cars of its era — and a clear reminder that this really was the point at which Porsche delivered everything.
