Believed to be the first UK supplied RHD 240Z this immaculate example was previously owned for many years by the President of the 'Z' Owners Club
We say believed, as I know there were a couple of Australian cars brought for dealers, which were registered before this, however they were not original UK supplied
However, and moving on, the most recent owner of this beauty was a member of a famous racing family - in whose collection many exotic cars were stabled, including a 250GTO ............
So you can well believe that this must be, if not the best, certainly one of the best 240Z out there
Paintwork, the underside, engine bay and interior are all, almost, perfect
Brakes pull strong and true, the engine spins up with alacrity towards the 7.000rpm red line and the 5 speed gearbox is slick and quick
We like the optional Wolfrace alloys here in the Garages, which were one of the only versions available in seventies - originally the 'Z's had steel wheels with hub caps, (they were not as super-cool as the rest of the car - hence so many had Wolfrace's fitted)
Thoroughbred & Sports Car magazine featured this actual 'Z' in a Buying Guide as a future Classic (there were well ahead of the game there!!) with pictures showing the original wheel discs
In period this was an alternative to a Ford Capri 3000E (great cars by the way) or an Alfa 1750 / 2000 GTV (also great cars) - so your middle management, in the early seventies, had some fabulous options for their new company cars!
So, if you're thinking of a 240Z, or indeed if you're not, consider this one, as cars as good as this are not available very often
