Very nicely specified with the rare 19-inch 911 Turbo wheel option, sports seats, and that all-important third pedal, this Gen 2 987 is ready to impress in classic Guards Red. Our in-house detailer has just treated the paintwork to a full machine polish giving a fantastic depth of shine across every panel. In line with the mileage there is a dusting of light stone chips towards the front end but after close inspection we’re pleased to report no lacquer peel or bubbling anywhere on the body. Sporting new Michelin tyres at the rear, the wheels are near-immaculate with no unsightly wear to the diamond-cut faces. All in all, a very smart example in a timeless Porsche colour combo, ready to be driven and very much enjoyed this summer.
The desirable sports seats are heated with electric backrest adjustment, and with the deep bolsters they’re both comfortable and supportive. The black leather upholstery is first-rate throughout with a perfect matte sheen, minimal wear, and no damage to the stitching. Other commonly worn areas such as the steering wheel and gear knob are in similarly excellent condition. The contrasting red seatbelts are another very nice touch, as are the white instrument dials and original Porsche floor mats still present in the footwells. Both front and rear luggage areas are clean and tidy having clearly never been loaded with any bulky items.
Other than one service in 2023, the original maintenance booklet is fully stamped with Porsche and Porsche specialist entries. The most recent service was carried out by Mortimers Prestige in June 2025 at 60,207 miles at which point the car also received two new AC condensers and a brake fluid change. Out on the road the 2.9-litre flat six feels as potent as ever, and the manual ‘box is a perfect accompaniment with smooth, precise gear changes.
Supplied new by Porsche Centre Exeter in January 2010, this 987.2 Cayman has driven only 60,393 miles in the hands of 4 registered keepers. It is accompanied by an excellent service record all stamped in the original book (entries below). The leather Porsche document pouch is also included along with all owners’ manuals, MOT certificates, a factory spec sheet, clear HPI report, spare remote key, and the current V5C registration document showing only 3 former keepers.
