Handpicked by Marco at Sasso and presented in the iconic Martini livery, this exceptional trio represents the very pinnacle of Lancia Delta heritage. The collection brings together three of the finest examples in existence: two highly coveted limited production models alongside an authentic former factory rally car driven by two times world champion Miki Biasion. Together, they tell a powerful story, machines that not only define an era, but were instrumental in building Lancia’s unrivalled legacy in world motorsport.
THE LEGEND
In the opening six years of the World Rally Championship’s Group A era, Lancia achieved the unthinkable, the Delta claimed every single Manufacturers’ title. It is a record of dominance unmatched before or since. Through successive evolutions, and immortalised in the unmistakable Works Lancia Martini Racing colours, the Delta amassed 46 world-level rally victories, driven by an extraordinary roster of legends including Juha Kankkunen, Miki Biasion and Markku Alén.
The Delta HF Integrale 16V marked the third major competition evolution of the model and represented a decisive technical leap forward. While the outgoing 8-valve version had already proven formidable, the 16V was engineered to extract every possible advantage within the FIA’s newly imposed 300-horsepower limit. Rather than chasing peak output alone, Abarth’s engineers focused on enhancing mid-range torque, drivability and responsiveness critical attributes on the world’s toughest rally stages.
At the heart of the transformation was a new four valve per cylinder head, lifting power from 280 hp to 295 hp. A slightly smaller Garrett turbocharger was adopted to reduce lag and sharpen throttle response, while electronically controlled fuel injection—a first for the Delta in competition—delivered greater precision and reliability. These upgrades, combined with a larger intercooler and improved airflow management, resulted in the distinctive bonnet bulge that has since become a visual signature of the 16V.
Further refinements included larger-diameter brakes and a more advanced electronic management system, ensuring durability and consistency under extreme rally conditions. The results spoke for themselves: 12 victories from just 24 World Championship events, two World Rally Manufacturers’ Championships, and one World Rally Drivers’ Championship a fitting reward for an engineering programme refined relentlessly over years of competition.
The Delta HF Integrale 16V stands today as one of the most accomplished and revered rally cars ever built, a machine that perfectly embodies Lancia’s relentless pursuit of performance, innovation and victory at the very highest level of world motorsport.
Works Lancia Delta Martini Racing Team | 1991 World Rally Championship (TO 55237R)
A rare and exceptionally significant piece of factory rally history, this is an authentic Works Lancia Martini Racing Team entry from the 1991 World Rally Championship, campaigned at the very highest level during the final chapter of Lancia’s legendary WRC dominance.
The car was driven in period by two-time World Rally Champion Miki Biasion, who guided it to a podium finish on the 1991 Acropolis Rally, one of the most demanding events of the season. It was also piloted by Jorge Recalde under the official Works Martini Racing banner on home soil at the 1991 Rally Argentina, further cementing its provenance within Lancia’s factory programme.
Purpose built by Lancia to heavy-gravel specification, the car reflects the uncompromising engineering that defined the marque’s rally success during this era. Following its competitive career, it was retained by Fiat Auto S.p.A. until 1994, a rare distinction that underscores its importance, before passing to just two private owners in the decades since.
Its authenticity and historical significance are formally recognised with Abarth Classiche certification, providing authoritative verification of its factory origins and competition history. Enhancing its originality, the car is accompanied by its original, period dated carbon Kevlar racing seats and seatbelts, along with a substantial and highly compelling history file. This includes original correspondence between Fiat and the car’s first private owner, offering unique insight into its post works history.
Now road registered in the United Kingdom, this exceptional Works Lancia represents a once in a generation opportunity to acquire a genuine factory-backed Martini Racing Team car driven by rallying legends, proven on the world’s toughest stages, and preserved with impeccable provenance.
Conceived and built within Lancia’s Reparto Corse at the height of the marque’s World Rally Championship programme, this is a full Works specification Delta HF Integrale 16V Group A, chassis no. 539663. Constructed to demanding heavy-gravel specification, it was prepared to contest the world’s most punishing rallies under the official Lancia Martini Racing Team banner.
The car made its competitive debut at the 38th Acropolis Rally in Greece in 1991, one of the toughest events on the WRC calendar. Registered in Turin as TO 55237R, it was allocated to Miki Biasion, Lancia’s double World Rally Champion and the driver most synonymous with the Group A Delta, partnered as always by long-time co-driver Tiziano Siviero.
Arriving in Greece, Lancia found itself in a period of internal transition. Long-standing team principal Claudio Lombardi had unexpectedly departed for Ferrari just days earlier, and the future of the factory rally programme was uncertain. Against this backdrop, Biasion drove chassis 539663 fitted with an experimental electronic centre differential, a technical development that required rapid adaptation on the loose, dust choked Greek stages. Despite the challenges, Biasion delivered a measured and authoritative drive, guiding the Delta to a third-place overall finish and securing a valuable podium for the factory team.
For newly appointed sporting director Giorgio Pianta, drafted in at the eleventh hour, the Acropolis could scarcely have unfolded more positively, Biasion on the podium and Juha Kankkunen claiming outright victory in dramatic fashion.
The car’s second and final World Championship appearance came later that season at the 1991 Rally Argentina, another brutal gravel event. On this occasion, the Delta was entrusted to local hero Jorge Recalde, the only Argentinian ever to win his home rally, a feat he had achieved in 1988 driving a Martini-liveried Delta. Expectations were high.
Determined to keep its championship ambitions alive against Toyota, Lancia mounted a full-scale factory assault, entering four cars and deploying extensive personnel and resources. However, the vast and remote Argentinian stages stretched the team thin, and servicing limitations soon emerged. With championship contenders Kankkunen, Auriol and Biasion prioritised, Recalde endured persistent power issues throughout the event. His fifth-place finish was nonetheless a commendable result under the circumstances.
Following Argentina, chassis 539663 was retired from competition and returned to Turin, where it remained in factory custody until February 1994. Correspondence from Fiat Auto S.p.A. Gestione Sportiva confirms that the car by then restored by Abarth, was sold to Greek collector Aigli Apostolou, formally documenting its concise but distinguished Works record. Acropolis Rally 1991 (3rd overall, Biasion) and Rally Argentina 1991 (5th overall, Recalde).
Although Apostolou assembled an exceptional collection of competition Lancia Deltas, this example was never rallied in private hands. In 2016, the car received official Lancia Classiche certification, and in 2018 it entered the UK based collection of its current custodian, himself a noted collector of competition Lancia's. Since then, the Delta has appeared publicly only twice, in non-competitive form, at the Eifel Rallye Festival in Germany and Rally Revival in the United Kingdom.
Today, chassis 539663 is presented in full running order, freshly serviced and accompanied by an extensive history file, along with its original period dated carbon Kevlar racing seats and seatbelts. A genuine podium finishing Works Lancia Martini Racing Team Delta HF Integrale, raced by legends, retained by the factory, and preserved with exceptional originality, this is an extraordinarily rare opportunity made even more remarkable by the fact it has had just two private owners in more than three decades.
An unmistakable centrepiece for any serious international collection, this is not simply a rally car it is a cornerstone of World Rally Championship history
Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione 1 Martini 6 Ltd edition (no 114 of 310) 12000 Miles only
Chassis No. ZLA831AB000580629
Created to celebrate one of the greatest achievements in rally history, the Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione I ‘Martini 6’ marks the brand’s sixth consecutive World Rally Championship Manufacturers’ title in 1992 and ultimately Lancia’s final WRC crown. To honour this unparalleled dominance, Lancia produced a strictly limited run of just 310 examples, making the Martini 6 one of the most desirable and significant Integrales ever built.
The Delta Integrale story needs little introduction. Following the end of the Group B era in 1986, Lancia turned to the production-based Delta, originally penned by Giorgetto Giugiaro. What began as a narrow-body contender evolved into the legendary wide-track Integrale, which between 1987 and 1991 secured an extraordinary six Constructors’ Championships, four Drivers’ Championships, and 44 WRC victories a record that remains unmatched.
This particular car is number 114 of 310 and is finished in the instantly recognisable Martini Racing livery, complete with period-correct decals, signature rear spoiler, and Recaro front seats embroidered with the HF logo. Power comes from the revered 2.0-litre turbocharged 16-valve engine, producing 210 bhp, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, permanent four-wheel drive, and four-wheel disc brakes—a package that defines the Integrale’s legendary road and rally performance.
While visually related to the earlier Martini 5, the Martini 6 introduced several unique details. The Martini stripes are broader, flowing dramatically over the car’s muscular wheel arches, while additional ‘World Rally Champion’ decalsadorn the doors and front bumper, complemented by a bold Lancia crest on the roof. Inside, the cabin is equally distinctive, featuring a new steering wheel and high back Recaro bucket seats trimmed in striking turquoise Alcantara, extended to the door panels. A numbered plaque on the centre tunnel confirms its limited-production status, and the Quickshift gear lever with carbon-fibre surround adds a purposeful finishing touch.
Supplied new in Italy on the 9th of February 1992, this Martini 6 remained cherished throughout its life, retained by the same owner until its arrival in the UK, and officially registered with the DVLA in December 2018. Today, it has covered just 12,000 miles from new and is presented in outstanding, highly original condition. It is accompanied by a Lancia Club Italia Certificate of Identification, further underscoring its authenticity.
The car is offered with an exceptional collection of original accessories and documentation, including the original Lancia tool kit, warranty card and service booklet, owner’s manuals in their pouch, spare and master keys, and a comprehensive history file. This includes the Certificate of Origin, Centro Storico FIAT documentation, copies of Italian registration and inspection records, and supporting service invoices.
Freshly serviced by Walkers Lancia and professionally detailed, this Martini 6 is presented ready for the most discerning collector.
A true icon of rallying history and a cornerstone of any serious collection, the Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione I ‘Martini 6’ is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most celebrated homologation specials ever produced an investment grade collector car destined to be admired and appreciated for decades to come.
Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione 1 Martini 5' Ltd edition (No 77 of 400) 2000 Miles only
Chassis No. ZLA831AB000568066
At the end of the 1991 season, Lancia came home with their 5th World Rally Constructor's title, as well as the driver's title with the great Juha Kankkunen. To celebrate, Lancia produced a run of special Delta HF Integrale Evo 1s to commemorate its utter domination of the Constructors' World Rally Championship for the fifth consecutive year, a feat which cemented its status as the winningest manufacturer in WRC history.
With its fantastic 'rally car white' livery and iconic Martini stripes (Jolly Club Lancia's long-time sponsorship partner), the Martini 5 wore all the Evo's body improvements including the enlarged flares and adjustable spoiler. Changes to the cabin included high-back adjustable Recaro bucket seats and interior trim finished in stunning black Alcantara with red stitching and HF logos embossed on the headrests, an Alcantara headliner, and red seatbelts. A sport steering wheel was added, as well as a numbered plaque at the base of the shifter specifying its build sequence among the limited run. The Integrale featured arguably the greatest gauge design in existence, proving to be one of the most stylish, retro, yet easy to read displays.
The Martini 5 was much more than stickers and stripes, boasting all the Evoluzione upgrades to the engine power output, as well as revisions to the suspension, brakes and wheels, gained through lessons learned on the grueling special stages of Monte Carlo, Portugal, Finland, and San Remo.
With a proven all-wheel drive system, rally-bred suspension and a potent turbocharged engine, this was one of the most achingly desirably compact cars at the time. Couple that with impeccable styling (by none other than Giorgetto Giugiaro), including aggressive fender flares and timeless Martini livery, the HF Integrale Evoluzione Martini 5 was destined to be a hero car for anyone who followed rallying during the heyday of Group A.
Few cars embody rallying greatness like the Lancia Delta HF Integrale. Rarer still are those that survive as time-capsule masterpieces. This remarkable Martini 5 stands among the very finest.
Produced in a strictly limited run of just 400 cars to celebrate Lancia’s fifth consecutive World Rally Championship title, the Martini 5 represents the ultimate expression of the Integrale bloodline. Clothed in the instantly recognisable Martini Racing colours, it is one of the most coveted and visually arresting variants ever built—an icon born from dominance.
What elevates this example into a different league altogether is its extraordinary provenance and preservation. Delivered new to Nuovauto, the official Lancia dealer in Montevarchi, Italy, the car remained on static display in the showroom for an astonishing 22 years. Never registered, never driven, never compromised it was, in essence, preserved as new. When finally sold, it passed to its first owner in virtually untouched condition.
In 2014, ownership transferred to one of the most respected names in global motorsport: the Jean Todt family, during his tenure as former Ferrari Formula One Team Principal. At that time, the car had covered a mere 1,025 miles, joining a world-class private collection.
Today, this build number 77 of 400 remains in exceptional, near-factory condition, retaining all of its original features, including:
Black Alcantara Recaro bucket seats with red contrast stitching
Original Clarion radio
Complete owner’s manuals, service and warranty booklet
Factory Lancia document pouch
Door panels still protected by original factory plastic film
Such originality is almost unheard of, even among the most carefully curated collections.
First registered in the UK on 1 September 2017, this Martini 5 presents a truly once-in-a-generation opportunity to acquire one of the most authentic and beautifully preserved examples in existence.
More than a car, this is a cornerstone of rallying legend, a definitive collector’s piece and an enduring symbol of Lancia’s unrivalled motorsport supremacy.
