Numbers tell a story. Maintenance tells the truth.
Very few Cayenne diesels have been cared for to this standard. There are plenty available, but this is not one simply passing through a showroom. It is a car we have known and maintained since October 2022 – and one that demonstrates just how good a well-sorted 4.2 litre twin-turbocharged SUV can be.
This is a Cayenne where maintenance has always been prioritised. Servicing has been carried out under our care on multiple occasions (three times in three years, the most recent at 92,152 miles), with additional work completed as required rather than deferred. Nothing has been overlooked.
And that level of care is clearly reflected externally and internally. The Meteor Grey bodywork presents extremely well, complemented by the 21-inch 911 Turbo Design alloy wheels finished in black. Inside, the black smooth leather interior remains in excellent order, with the seats showing minimal wear and retaining the feel of a car that has been carefully used and properly looked after.

On the surface, the Cayenne S diesel appears much like its siblings, but it’s a bit of a dark horse……under the bonnet lies a rather special 4.2 litre twin turbo charged V8 producing a staggering 850 Nm of torque from just 2,000 rpm. In the real world, that equates to effortless and relentless acceleration, and coupled with exceptional handling, you’ll forget you’re in an SUV. Its off-road abilities are great too, so combined with a rumbling soundtrack and 30+ mpg, it’s a great all-round package.
There will always be cheaper examples and lower-mileage cars advertised. But a smaller figure does not automatically equate to a better ownership experience. Buy on condition, buy on provenance, and judge it on how it drives — because that is where this car truly stands apart.
