Of the 2,891 RS2s built in collaboration with Porsche, just 180 were produced in right-hand drive – and of course far fewer survive today. Finished in the desirable Nogaro Blue, this example has undergone a very thorough and detailed body restoration using genuine new-old-stock (NOS) Audi parts. It has been fully resprayed (glass-out) to a very high standard and finished with a Kenzo ceramic coating. Additional replacement parts include, but are not limited to, new door trims, sill covers, front grille, badges, lower bumper mesh, wheel centre caps, wheel bolts, and pillar trims. The headlights are crystal-clear, and the NOS rear reflector panel is first-rate. Viewed along both sides, the panels are straight with excellent shut lines.
Trimmed in soft Nappa leather over blue Alcantara and accented with carbon fibre, the RS2’s cabin is a fantastic place to be. Occupants are treated to body-hugging Recaro sports seats with deep, supportive bolsters – perfect for spirited drives on twisty B-roads. The upholstery remains in exquisite condition, still notably supple with only light, age-appropriate creasing. The headlining has been re-trimmed (a common issue at this age), and the car has been fitted with a NOS gear knob. The rear seats appear to have seen little use, and the boot area is very tidy with the original load cover still present.
Modified by Porsche at their Rössle-Bau factory in Zuffenhausen, Audi’s 2.2-litre 5-cylinder engine was upgraded with a larger turbocharger, heavy-duty intercooler, higher-flow injectors, redesigned camshaft, more efficient induction system, low-pressure exhaust, and specially modified ECU. This car’s recent maintenance includes a new battery, air-conditioning service and re-gas, cambelt and water pump kit, oil and filter service (including fuel and cabin filters), brake fluid service, NGK spark plugs, and front shock-mount bearings.
This magnificent Audi RS2 was first registered in November 1994 and is one of only 180 right-hand-drive examples produced. Within the accompanying history folder, the new owner will receive the original Audi leather document wallet with handbooks and manuals, a comprehensive file of invoices dating back to the 1990s, MOT certificates, and the current V5C showing five registered keepers. The last service was carried out in September 2025 and, for additional peace of mind, the car has just been fully inspected and freshly MOT’d at the current mileage of 121k.
