Exterior
With its deep sills and wide arches the RS4’s muscular physique gives it huge road presence. The Daytona Grey bodywork is in great condition all round with little more than a few light frontal stone chips and discreetly touched-in marks to evidence the car’s 72k miles. The pearl effect paintwork is accented nicely by the matte aluminium mirror covers and roof bars, while the window trims and grille surround are subtly finished in black. The 19-inch wheels are unmarked all round with a matching set of Michelin PS5 tyres that were fitted only 2k miles ago. The headlights are both very clear and all the badges are in first-rate condition.
Interior
The interior space is incredibly well preserved, and with the high level of spec it’s hard to believe that the car is almost 20 years old. The desirable ‘wingback’ Recaro front seats are in excellent shape with minimal wear including the deep bolsters. The cabin is lifted further with lashings of glossy carbon fibre and immaculate anthracite Alcantara on the gear knob, handbrake lever, and flat-bottom RS steering wheel. The centre console, dash, and switchgear are also excellent with no damage or scratches, and everything works as it should. In the footwells the carpets are perfect with original Audi floor mats still in place.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The high-revving naturally aspirated 4.2 V8 makes for an addictive soundtrack, and with its slick manual gearbox the B7 RS4 really is the driver’s choice. The engine bay here is clean and tidy with only the usual discolouration to the otherwise immaculate carbon trim to report. The car is accompanied by an excellent maintenance record with every service other than one oil change in 2025 having been carried out by either Audi or independent Audi specialists. At the current mileage the RS4 has just returned from a main dealer service at Guildford Audi where it also received a glowing health check report; the passenger airbag recall was also carried out at this time.
History File
The tastefully spec’d B7 RS4 was supplied new by Mayfair Audi in November 2006. It has now driven only 72k miles in the hands of 4 registered keepers. The RS document pouch with all owner’s manuals is included in the history folder along with the original service booklet, a raft of maintenance invoices, MOT certificates, a spare remote key, and the current V5C showing only 3 former keepers.
