1952 MG TD/C Mk II – Exceptionally Rare Competition Model

An exceptionally rare 1952 MG TD/C Mk II, originally North American–supplied, now repatriated and fully restored to correct period specification. During its comprehensive restoration, the car was professionally converted to right-hand drive, enhancing its suitability for UK and European use while retaining historical accuracy.

The restoration was extensive and included a complete engine rebuild, gearbox rebuild, and rear axle overhaul, along with a fully refurbished body finished to a high standard. The wiring loom has been entirely replaced, ensuring excellent reliability.

The sought-after Competition (/C) specification features the correct XPAG 1250cc engine with factory high-compression cylinder head, larger SU carburettors, and performance-focused upgrades, making the Mk II the most desirable and capable variant of the MG TD range.

Finished in a traditional MG colour scheme, the car sits on correct steel wheels, complemented by period-correct detailing throughout. The interior is trimmed to original specification with authentic instrumentation, delivering a true early-1950s MG driving experience.

Rare, beautifully presented, and mechanically sorted and ready to be enjoyed as intended for many years to come.
