Some cars arrive with a polite handshake. The Dodge Viper arrived like a flying elbow. Dreamed up as a modern Shelby Cobra and engineered with a level of restraint best described as “optional,” the early Viper embodied everything enthusiasts secretly wanted: a monstrous V10, a tubular frame, side pipes that could sauté vegetables, and exactly zero electronic driver aids. It was raw, loud, and glorious — the last truly analogue American supercar.
By 1993, the Viper had already earned cult status. The Gen 1 cars remain the purest expression of the concept: mechanical, elemental, and totally unfiltered. They’re now highly sought after, especially the early production examples — and this one sits firmly in that rarefied group.
This particular car has been in the hands of the same passionate custodian for 25 years, and both owner and machine are well-known pillars of the UK Viper Club community. It’s also one of the especially desirable early antenna / carryover cars, retaining rare transitional factory features, and one of only 1,043 built for 1993 — with approximately 300 antenna cars believed to exist.
Its pedigree extends beyond club circles: the car was featured in Evo Magazine in 2002 (copy included), and even appears on Autoform’s official US website, personally used by Autoform owner Steve Dreyer to showcase their Gen 1 double-bubble hardtop. A Viper famous enough to advertise its own upgrades is, we think, a strong sign of character.

Condition
The Viper is in superb condition for its age, benefitting from long-term enthusiast care and a substantial documented maintenance history. There are some small age-related marks, minor stone chips, and a localised crack on the rear-left bumper (repair negotiable depending on final agreement). Typical Gen 1 interior trim wear is present, but the car presents extremely well overall. Wheels are freshly refurbished, tyres are matching Michelins, and mechanically it’s exactly where a well-loved early Viper should be.
A rare early-production, antenna-equipped 1993 RT/10 with 25 years of enthusiast ownership, documented provenance, club recognition, Autoform-featured fame, and extensive sensible upgrades. If you’re looking for a historically significant Gen 1 Viper — analogue, iconic, and beautifully cared-for — this is the one.
