The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG was introduced in 2009 as a modern reinterpretation of the iconic 1950s 300 SL Gullwing, reviving the distinctive Gullwing doors and front-mid-engined proportions that defined the original. Developed entirely in-house by AMG, it was the first car designed from the ground up by the performance division and served as Mercedes-Benz’s flagship supercar. The SLS AMG GT Final Edition, launched in late 2013, marked the conclusion of the model. Built until June 2014 and limited to just 350 units worldwide, it represented the final evolution of the SLS and a deliberate bookend to one of the brand’s most recognisable designs. Of the 350 Final Edition cars produced worldwide, just seven were delivered new to the UK.
Based on the uprated SLS AMG GT platform, the Final Edition incorporated a series of exclusive features. The hand-built 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine produced 583 bhp and 650 Nm of torque, enabling 0 – 60 mph in approximately 3.7 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 198 mph. The platform included a remapped double-clutch seven-speed automatic gearbox and AMG Ride Control Performance suspension, enhancing both performance and driver engagement. Extensive use of carbon fibre reduced overall weight by approximately 70 kg compared to standard SLS models, with a bare carbon-fibre bonnet featuring a central air outlet, a fixed carbon-fibre rear wing, a front splitter, and carbon-fibre exterior mirrors and trim.
This example is finished in striking Imola Grey with a Designo Exclusive black leather and Dinamica interior, complemented by silver contrast stitching. The interior features include diamond-stitched leather seats, an interior carbon-fibre package, and DINAMICA black headlining, electrically adjustable driver’s seat and exterior mirrors with memory, auto-dimming rear-view and driver’s side mirrors, telephone pre-wiring with hands-free facility, media interface, COMAND integrated 6-disc CD/DVD changer, DAB digital radio tuner, Bang & Olufsen BeoSound AMG audio system, and fully automatic climate control. Driver assistance and safety are comprehensive, including daytime running lights, Bi-Xenon headlamps, tyre pressure monitoring system, adaptive brake lights, blind-spot assist, and a reversing camera.
The car rides on exclusive 19/20-inch AMG forged alloy wheels and features AMG Ceramic High Performance Brakes. AMG Performance Media is fitted as standard, alongside electrically folding mirrors. Additional specification items include AMG carbon-fibre exterior mirrors and interior trim, details that are synonymous with AMG’s final-production models.
Delivered new to the UK in June 2014 via Mercedes-Benz of Bolton, this car has covered just 718 miles. It has been maintained in excellent condition, with the most recent service performed by Mercedes-Benz Brooklands in August 2025. It is offered complete with its original book pack and two keys. The car benefits from full PPF coverage, helping to preserve the box-fresh condition it remains in.
As one of only seven Final Edition cars delivered new to the UK, this SLS AMG GT Final Edition represents an extremely rare opportunity to acquire a modern-era Mercedes-Benz supercar. Being among the last 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 engines produced by Mercedes-AMG, and limited to 350 cars worldwide, it combines performance, exclusivity, and historical significance in a manner that few contemporary supercars can match.
