Exterior
Finished in striking Imola Red this M Sport saloon presents in great original condition. The paintwork is in very nice shape with a richness of colour that perfectly highlights the car’s super low mileage of just 10k. The M Sport styling package means sculpted bumpers, side skirts, Shadowline exterior trim, and 18-inch alloys, giving the car a purposeful yet elegant stance. As a facelift E46 this one sports the later-style headlights and MV2 wheels, which in this case are in first-rate condition having just been refurbished with new tyres all round. A wonderful example and a genuine 10k mile car with single family ownership since new.
In line with the low mileage the sport seats show very few signs of use, the bolsters still firm and the upholstery notably supple throughout. The Montana leather has a perfect factory sheen and texture, as does the steering wheel, gear selector, and all switchgear. The delicate centre console plastics are also in excellent order with minimal marking, and the original BMW Business CD player is pleasingly still fitted having never been replaced with an aftermarket head unit. The rear seats are particularly clean, and all the carpets are still protected in the footwells by the original BMW overmats.
Power comes from BMW’s 2.5-litre M54 straight-six paired with a smooth 5-speed auto ‘box. Barely run-in with only 10,258 miles under its belt, the drivetrain feels incredibly tight and responsive. The engine bay is clean and original, and for the new keeper’s peace of mind a full mechanical inspection has just been carried out. Notable recent work includes replacement of the AC compressor and condenser, four new tyres, a new fuel pump and fuel filter, all spark plugs and ignition coils, brake fluid, rear brake pads and discs, a brake pressure sensor, battery, and an interim service.
First registered in March 2004, this surely unrepeatable Imola Red 325i Sport has seen only 2 keepers since new, a retired lady for the first 18 years and then her son since 2022. A local car to us, it was originally supplied through Barons of Hindhead. The accompanying history file includes the original BMW document pouch with all owner’s manuals, a selection of invoices and MOT certificates to further verify the low mileage, a spare remote key, and the current V5C showing only 1 former keeper.
