Exterior

Immaculately presented in sublime Rosso Mondiale, the paintwork is first-rate with an incredible depth of shine having just been treated to a full machine polish by our in-house detailer – our studio photos really don’t do it justice. With its deeper bumpers, mesh grilles, and subtle aerodynamic additions, the GranSport enhances the elegant lines of the standard Maserati Coupé with a more purposeful, sporting edge. Looking closely around this particular example it really is hard to find fault; all the lights are crystal-clear and there are no scuffs or scrapes to note, with only a few very minor stone chips evidencing the car’s honesty. The 19-inch Trofeo alloy wheels are also in excellent condition with high quality Pirelli tyres all round.

Interior

A feast for the senses, the GranSport’s cabin is an inviting blend of grained leather, glossy carbon fibre, and grigio technical cloth. The deeply bolstered sports seats are in excellent order with no damage or wear to the upholstery or stitching. The carbon dash and centre console trims are also immaculate with no scratches, and we’re pleased to report that absolutely none of the black switches, vents, or plastics feel even remotely sticky – a very rare find in any Maserati or Ferrari of this vintage. The factory CD player remains in place, as do the original floor mats, and the sculpted rear seats are spotless. All in all, a perfectly preserved, highly original interior looking and feeling every bit the low mileage of only 21k.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

At its heart is a 395hp 4.2-litre Ferrari V8 that produces one hell of soundtrack through the factory switchable exhaust. The F1-style Cambiocorsa sequential transmission performs well with quick and satisfying shifts, especially at higher revs. The GranSport further benefits from the Skyhook adaptive damping system which strikes an excellent balance between comfort and agility, making this both an engaging weekend car and a capable grand tourer. Despite the very low mileage the Maserati has always been well maintained by either main agents or specialists, with 15 stamps in the original service book.

History File

First registered in September 2005, this beautiful Rosso Mondiale GranSport has driven only 21,728 miles from new. Clearly a cherished example, the car presents beautifully with a comprehensive specialist service history to match. The accompanying paperwork includes the original blue leather Maserati wallet with all owner’s manuals, a fully stamped service booklet (entries below), invoices and MOT certificates verifying the mileage, a spare remote key, and the current V5C registration document showing 5 former keepers. The factory tool kit and tyre inflator are also present and correct in the boot.
