2023 Porsche 911 Carrera T

A driver-focused, lighter, and more engaging 911 with a manual gearbox, blending analogue performance with everyday usability.

The Porsche 911 Carrera T is a modern 911 with an old-school soul, sitting as the most driver-focused model within the core 911 range, sharing much of the same purist characteristics that define the GT3 Touring. Like its more track-oriented sibling, the Carrera T is built for engagement, combining a lighter, more tactile setup with the everyday usability of the standard Carrera. Reviving the “Touring” badge, the 992 Carrera T provides the essential 911 experience in a car that feels more connected and involving.

Fitted with Porsche’s 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six, producing 379 bhp, 331 lb ft of torque and a top speed of approximately 181 mph. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed PDK transmission.

What sets the Carrera T apart from other core 911s is its focus on driving feel. Weight reduction measures include thinner glass, a smaller battery, less sound insulation, and the deletion of rear seats as standard. The result is a saving of around 35 kg compared with the Carrera. PASM Sport Suspension with a 10 mm lower ride height is fitted as standard, along with a mechanical limited-slip differential and Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), usually reserved for higher-spec models.

These changes deliver a car that feels more agile, alert, and communicative than the base model. The steering is direct, the chassis more responsive, and the flat-six soundtrack more pronounced thanks to the lighter insulation. On the road, this translates to feedback that has long defined the best 911s.

This example was first registered in July 2023 and is finished in GT Silver Metallic over black Sport-Tex, extended leather upholstery and rear seats with ISOFIX. It sits on 20-inch front and 21-inch rear Carrera S alloy wheels and features the desirable seven-speed manual gearbox.

Its specification includes deletion of ‘911 Carrera T’ decorative side logo, ParkAssist (front and rear) with reversing camera, switchable Sports Exhaust, Light Design Package, heated GT sports steering wheel in leather, Power Steering Plus, Autoblip Rev-match Gear Select, storage package and electrically folding mirrors with courtesy lighting.

Having covered 17,000 miles from new, it is offered with the balance of the manufacturer’s warranty and will be supplied with a fresh service from Porsche Centre Silverstone.

The Carrera T embodies the essence of Porsche’s sports-car philosophy, offering an analogue driving experience while remaining practical for everyday use. With its lighter weight, manual gearbox, and tuned chassis, it feels more connected and responsive than a standard Carrera while bridging the gap between the GT3 Touring.
