Exterior

Looking every bit the low mileage of just 43k, this 3-litre E46 convertible is a very clean example indeed. The Topaz Blue paintwork has polished up beautifully and quite remarkably for a car of this age it’s almost entirely original throughout. There are no unsightly scuffs or scrapes to the bumpers or sills, the front end has very few stone chips, and there’s no bubbling to report in any of the common E46 weak spots. The car is very nicely spec’d with a dark blue hood, 18-inch M Sport alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, electric folding door mirrors, sports seats, and a matching Topaz Blue hardtop for those chillier winter months.

Interior

The original sports seats are really well presented with only very light surface wear on the driver’s upper bolster in line with the low mileage. The upholstery remains feeling soft and supple with a great factory texture, and all the electric adjustments work as they should; the seats are also heated which was another desirable option from new. The leather steering wheel and gear knob are also unworn, and we’re pleased to see the factory BMW Business radio still fitted having never been replaced with an aftermarket head unit. The pale grey carpets are well protected in the footwells by the original mats and the rear seats appear to have seen little use. A few minor scratches are visible on one of the cubbyhole lids (quite typical of the model) but other than that the interior is first-rate.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

The 3-litre straight-six is the pick of the bunch, offering effortless silky-smooth driving while still packing a punch when you need to get a shift on. The auto ‘box is a perfect match for the 330 with almost undetectable gear changes. Under the bonnet the engine bay presents exceptionally well with clean plastic trims and no signs of damage or previous poor repair. The car has just returned from having an Inspection II service carried out by our trusted BMW specialist who also replaced the cylinder head cover gasket and rear brake pads.

History File

In the hands of only 3 registered keepers (current since 2013) this lovely 330Ci convertible has driven only 43k miles from new. The condition is just as you’d expect for the mileage and mechanically the car is spot-on too. For the new keeper’s peace of mind, it has just had a major Inspection II service, brake fluid change, and AC re-gas carried out by our local marque specialist, Lee Shannon, who has known the car since 2014. The accompanying paperwork is complete with the original document pouch and owner’s manuals, a selection of invoices and MOT certificates, a clean HPI report, spare remote key, and the current V5C showing 2 former keepers. Services have been carried out at the following mileages: 7,465 (BMW) – 15,483 (BMW) – 30,899 (independent) – 34,520 (BMW specialist) – 41,838 (independent) – and most recently at 42,911 miles in September 2025 (BMW specialist).
