Speedbroker are delighted to present this exceptional 2009 Dodge Viper ACR (American Club Racing) Hardcore Edition, one of the most significant and sought-after American performance cars of the modern era.

The ACR badge first appeared in 1999, standing for American Club Racing. It signified a factory-developed package engineered with motorsport in mind — lightweight construction, aerodynamic refinement, and suspension tuned for circuit dominance. By 2008, the formula had evolved into the Gen 4 Viper ACR, a car capable of setting production car lap records at the Nürburgring and Laguna Seca, cementing its status as a true street-legal racer.

This particular car is one of just 245 Gen 4 ACRs produced, and one of only 13 finished in Viper Black (PX3) with a factory red driver’s stripe. To our knowledge, only three Gen 4 ACRs reside in the UK, of which just two are Hardcore Editions — making this a car of genuine rarity and desirability on British roads.

The Hardcore Package delivers an additional 50lb weight saving on top of the ACR’s standard 50lb reduction over a standard Viper, achieved by removing non-essential items such as audio equipment, carpets, and insulation. Combined with extensive aerodynamic development — most notably the adjustable carbon rear wing, capable of generating 1,000lbs of downforce at 150mph — the result is a car that is identical in specification to the factory machine that set multiple production car lap records worldwide. This particular example is further distinguished by being signed by Dominik Farnbacher, the driver who set the famed Nürburgring lap record in the Viper ACR.

Powered by the legendary 8.4-litre V10, this example also benefits from tasteful, performance-oriented enhancements including a Doug Shelby cold air box and a full Belanger exhaust system, estimated to release an additional 50bhp over the factory figure.

Presented in superb condition, this Viper has been carefully maintained and recently detailed. The odometer shows 28,556 miles (verified), and it has had a recent MOT with zero advisories. A comprehensive service was also completed, covering engine oil and filter, gearbox fluid, and differential fluid.

Current ownership dates from June 2023, and the car remains largely original and unmodified, aside from the noted intake and exhaust upgrades.
