TVR Griffith 200 FIA Race Car
Presenting the 2023 Pall Mall Championship-winning TVR Griffith
The TVR Griffith 200 represents one of the most potent and raw sports cars to emerge from the British specialist car scene of the 1960s. Originally developed in collaboration with American racer and engineer Jack Griffith, the model was effectively a transatlantic hybrid. A British TVR chassis engineering mated to American Ford V8 power. While the road car was a formidable machine in its own right, it’s the FIA-specification race cars that have since cemented the Griffith’s reputation on the historic motorsport stage.
Brutal, loud, and unapologetically raw, the Griffith 200 rewards talented drivers. The massive torque from the V8 and lightweight construction allow for nimble changes of direction and immense pace in the right hands. Unlike the more refined GTs of the era, the Griffith is a car that punches far above its weight.
We are delighted to offer for sale this exceptional TVR Griffith 200 FIA race car – the outright winner of the 2023 RAC Pall Mall Cup Championship.
Powered by a Ford 289ci small block V8 engine, built by the renowned Steve Warrior and producing an estimated 450 bhp, the car features a four-speed gearbox and limited-slip differential. Originally built in 2016 by the respected TVR specialists Nigel Reuben Racing, it has been meticulously prepared and maintained by them from the start of the 2022 season to the present day.
Since its debut, the Griffith has been a front-running contender at the highest level of historic GT racing, competing in a range of prestigious international events, including:
“Barton set a rapid pace in the opening stint to establish his lead. He and Reuben showed off pace, reliability and the perfect strategy to take their victory.”
-Motor Racing Legends, Silverstone 2024 Race Report
