Exterior
Dark metallic silver over black, an elegant colour combination that suits the Vantage perfectly. As a 2006 car this one’s an early model in the ‘modern’ Vantage line up, and still sporting the original red rear lights it’s a very honest, unmodified example. The wheels have just been fully refurbished to a very high standard with new genuine Aston Martin centre badges all round, and the paintwork has a lovely deep shine following a machine polish by our in-house detailer. Looking along both sides of the car there are absolutely no car park dings or scratches, the bumpers are unscathed, and at the front end the headlights are crystal-clear.
Interior
Open the door and you’re greeted by a lavishly appointed interior space with smooth Obsidian black leather adorning not only the seats but also the door cards, dash, and centre console. The complementing grey trims also present to a high standard with no marking or sun damage to report. Everything inside the cabin works exactly as it should, including the air conditioning which has just been recharged following the installation of a new AC compressor. The quality of the finish is excellent throughout, and quite remarkably the seats show very little wear with commonly worn areas such as the driver’s bolster hinting at only light use; the steering wheel is also first-rate with an as-new feel to the leather.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The current keeper purchased the car back in 2012 and, with the exception of the most recent oil change carried out by his trusted local garage, he has always had it serviced by HWM Aston Martin in Walton-on-Thames. Under our care the car has been independently checked over and any issues have been rectified in preparation for sale. As with the rest of the car, the engine bay is clean and tidy with no signs of accident damage or previous poor repair. The 4.3-litre V8 produces an impressive 385ps with an intoxicating soundtrack to match, and in this car it’s paired with an engaging 6-speed manual ‘box.
