About This Example
The 812 Superfast occupies a unique space in Maranello’s illustrious front-engined V12 bloodline. Evolved from the F12, yet more focused and visceral in character, it combines raw mechanical drama with just the right measure of modern performance tech – striking a balance that many feel Ferrari may never replicate again. With its successor, moving towards a softer, more refined GT ethos, the 812 is already being regarded by many as the last ‘proper’ V12 grand tourer from Ferrari: aggressive, unapologetic, and gloriously loud.
Finished in Nero Daytona, this example carries a sense of menace and purpose that suits the car’s character perfectly. Its stealthy aesthetic is sharpened with forged dark-painted wheels, black tailpipe tips and carbon fibre wing mirrors, rear deck and fuel filler cap – wonderfully contrasted by yellow brake calipers, and the iconic Scuderia Ferrari shields. Functional additions like adaptive LED headlights, suspension lifter, and parking cameras front and rear make it a truly usable super GT without ever diluting the driving experience.
Beneath the bonnet lies Ferrari’s legendary 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12, producing 800PS and revving beyond 8,500rpm. It’s the most powerful non-hybrid V12 engine Ferrari had ever fitted to a road car – and with its rear-wheel drive layout, lightning-fast dual-clutch transmission, and absence of hybrid complexity, the 812 delivers an unfiltered, analogue edge that’s increasingly rare in today’s market.
Inside, the specification is equally considered and ties in with the black and yellow theme of its exterior. Nero hide is complemented by Giallo seatbelts and contrast stitching, a Special Request detail that gives the interior a tailored feel. The Carbon Fibre Driver Zone with LEDs, Carbon Central Bridge, and Carbon Dash Inserts add further drama, while the Cavallino stitched in Giallo, full electric seats, and High Power Hi-Fi ensure the cabin blends luxury with purpose.
This example is covered by Ferrari warranty until May 2026, and benefits from the brand’s 7-Year Maintenance Plan, with its next scheduled service due in 2026.
In today’s landscape, few cars offer such a compelling mix of performance, pedigree, and emotion. The 812 Superfast remains one of the most evocative driving experiences money can buy – and in this highly desirable black-on-black configuration, with its extensive options and Ferrari-backed provenance, this is what many believe to be the last of the truly great V12 GTs.
About This Model
Since the post-war years, the atmospheric V12 has represented the pinnacle of motoring refinement. With tighter emissions laws making it more and more difficult for Ferrari and other exotic brands to build these amazing power plants, though, the Superfast could realistically be the last production car from Maranello to deliver the sumptuous, linear power N/A V12.
The mightiest V12 of them all. With the rest of a car attached. The rest of the car is good, the 6.5-litre V12 is transcendental. The 812 is, of course, the replacement for the F12 Berlinetta. A front-engined, rear-drive, two-seat super GT – a layout that occupies a special place in Ferrari mythology, tracing its roots back through the 599GTB and 550 Maranello to 365 Daytona and 250 GT.
Ferrari has been a good customer to world-class designers like Pininfarina, Zagato and Giorgetto Giugiaro, but for its anniversary celebration, the brand from Maranello is keeping things all in the family. Styling for the Superfast was penned at Ferrari’s own design studio. The car is a clear evolution of the F12. It borrows tail lights from the four-seat GTC4Lusso and uses more aggressive sculpting to set itself apart from the preceding model.
