One of only 26 Aston Martin DBRS9s constructed by Prodrive between 2005 and 2008 for the FIA GT3 European Championships and DBRS9/22 was delivered new to championship-winning team, Hexis Racing in 2010.
A proven fierce competitor in the 2010 FIA GT3 European Championship, taking 5th overall, with standout results including a race win at Zolder and podiums at Silverstone, Jarama, and Magny-Cours, whilst also being a competitor in the FFSA GT and Blancpain Endurance Series, and an appearance at the 24 Hours of Spa in 2011.
Based on the road derived Aston Martin DB9 and sharing components with the GT1-class DBR9, the DBRS9 was designed for GT3 racing—lightweight, powerful, and more accessible to private teams, powered by the ultimate ‘G Spec’ 5.9L V12 producing up to 600 bhp.
After time with Hexis Racing and then in the hands of Team Speed Car team, DBRS9/22 continued to compete in the Coupe de France FFSA GT Championship, before being sold to a handful of private owners for use on track days and more recently in historic GT events, including the 2024 GT3 Legends Series at Silverstone.
Now offered with a freshly rebuilt Holinger gearbox by Venture Motorsport, a Premier fuel tank valid until 2029, and a comprehensive spares package, including 5 sets of wheels - DBRS9/22 presents a rare opportunity to acquire one of the very few competitive DBRS9’s in the most desirable ‘G’ Specification, featuring endurance spec components and one of very few examples to be fitted with ABS from new, and now ready to take on Motor Racing Legends ‘GT3 Legends’ Championship.
