About This Example

Few cars blend form and function quite like the McLaren 570S Spider. With its sculpted lines and carbon-fibre core, it was designed to be driven as much as admired – offering the precision of the coupe, but with the added theatre of open-air motoring. The roof slips away in 15 seconds, inviting the outside world in, without sacrificing the intent or sharpness that defines McLaren’s approach to performance.

What sets this example apart is its effortlessly bold specification. The Curacao Blue paint – a seldom-seen shade from McLaren’s Special palette – brings clarity and energy to the 570S’s sharp lines, made more distinctive still by McLaren Orange brake calipers and lightweight diamond-cut alloys. Inside, the ‘By McLaren Designer’ cabin pairs Almond White with Carbon Black for a clean, confident contrast that nods to traditional supercar aesthetics. A Dark Palladium roof rounds off the look with just the right amount of composure.

Optional extras include the Sports Exhaust, Lux Pack (featuring 12-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio, soft-close doors, electric heated seats, and more), and Security Pack (reversing camera, vehicle lift, upgraded alarm).

This is an incredibly well-kept car, both cosmetically and mechanically. Protected with Paint Protection Film; applied to the front end and lower doors, the finish remains in superb order. The cabin presents equally well, showing minimal signs of use, and it has never seen track use or harsh weather. Servicing has been exclusively taken care of by McLaren main agents, with six visits logged; the most recent carried out in April 2025.

In a landscape where Ferraris of a similar age and mileage command values well into six figures, the 570S Spider represents serious value. McLaren’s decision to keep the structure uncompromised means you get full coupe rigidity and driver engagement, with none of the drawbacks typically associated with convertibles. It’s a car that delivers both on the road and the balance sheet – especially in this condition and specification.

About This Model

Launched in 2017; 570S Spider joined the brand’s Sports Series lineup as the open-top counterpart to the coupe.

Designed around McLaren’s carbon-fibre MonoCell II chassis, it required no additional bracing to maintain rigidity – meaning it retained the same dynamics and performance as the fixed-roof car. The two-piece retractable hardtop could be stowed in just 15 seconds at speeds of up to 25mph, offering a seamless transition between coupe and convertible.

At the heart of the 570S Spider was McLaren’s familiar 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8, producing 562bhp and 600Nm of torque. Power was delivered through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, launching the car from 0–62mph in just 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of 204mph (196mph with the roof down).

The electro-hydraulic steering and Proactive Chassis Control system delivered a remarkably composed ride, balancing track-capable handling with day-to-day usability – a core part of the 570S’s brief.

Beyond performance, 570S Spider also marked a turning point for McLaren as it sought to broaden its customer base. This was a car designed not just for hardcore enthusiasts, but for those wanting the drama and exoticism of a McLaren with added comfort and refinement. It was also one of the final models to feature the 3.8-litre engine before the brand transitioned to the 4.0-litre unit seen in later cars, making it something of a swan song for McLaren’s early Super Series DNA.
