Exterior
Looking sharp in classic Alpineweiss this chrome bumper 325i is a particularly tidy example. The paintwork is bright with a great shine and after close inspection there are no signs of rust in any of the common E30 weak spots. The condition of the bumpers is also first-rate with no pitting to the chrome or notable marking on the rubbers. A new OEM-quality hood was fitted in summer 2023 so the canvas and rear window are immaculate, and without a complex electric/hydraulic mechanism to go wrong it will never fail to operate. The cross-spoke alloy wheels are excellent and the matching tyres have plenty of tread remaining. Freshly serviced and ready to be enjoyed, a highly impressive example and a car we know well having sold it to the current owner.
Interior
Very nicely spec’d with full black leather, rare factory AC, and cruise control, this low mileage E30 not only looks great but is very usable too. The leather seats are in fantastic original condition and present with only light patina commensurate with the mileage. There is no damage to the bolsters, the carpets are spotless, and the door cards are perfect. A few small ring marks are visible on the steering wheel but again, nothing untoward for a car of this vintage. The dash top is free from any cracks, the air conditioning is ice-cold, and the original BMW cassette player is still fitted. The boot area is also very tidy with the spare wheel, tools, and first aid kit still in place.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Reading through the accompanying history file it’s clear that this one has always been maintained to a good standard. The car has just returned from a full inspection, service, and AC re-gas at trusted classic car workshop, and for the new keeper’s peace of mind a fresh MOT will be carried out upon sale. Under the bonnet, the engine bay is clean and tidy with a great original finish. Out on the road it feels as tight as a drum to drive, with reassuringly smooth performance from the engine and gearbox.
