1973 BMW 2002
£ 44 995

- First registered on the 25th of September 1973, this is a UK RHD BMW 2002 Tii.
- There’s no record of the car’s history until 2011, when it was discovered as a barn find by the current owner. His search was focused on finding a good donor car from which to develop an incredibly capable rally car.
- Once he purchased the car, it was taken to Kevin Savage Motorsport with a build brief calling for a “LEJOG-winning” build. With invoices totalling over £34,000 between 2011 and 2012, the car was stripped and rebuilt to achieve that goal and went on to win LeJog 2012. It’s also worth noting that in between this win and present day it has completed 6 LeJogs securing 4 golds and 2 silvers on the event
- In 2013 the engine was rebuilt, with a dyno report on file showing 100BHP at the wheels, 147BHP at the engine, and a maximum torque of 135 lb-ft.
- Used consistently up to the present day, it has been a well-campaigned car. Moreover, unlike many rally cars, the historical records clearly demonstrate how impeccably maintained it has been throughout its rally life.
- Invoices exceeding £43,000 attest to the owner’s commitment to a car that has performed well across multiple rallies and remains just as capable today as it was when built in 2011.
- Prior to being put up for sale with us within the last four months, the car has had the following work completed:
- Powerflex Bushes
- Rear Trailing Arm
- Rear Subframe Stiffener Inserts
- Diff Mount
- Anti Roll Bar Drop Links
- Prop Shaft Centre Bearing
- Rear Spring Seats
- Wheel Bearings
- Brake Refresh
- Battery
- Wheel Refurbishment
- The end result is a true testament to the current owner’s commitment to having an exceptionally well-built and maintained rally car, as well as another outstanding build from Kevin Savage.
