2003 BMW M3 Track Car

This is a 2003 E46 M3 in Carbon Black Metallic. Until 2019, this car had lived a relatively modest life as a standard, road-going, manual BMW M3 closing-in on 72,000 warranted miles. In 2019, it was purchased by a wealthy motorsport enthusiast with a desire to build and develop a front-engined and rear wheel drive track day car to enable he and his driving coach to perfect his skills before moving into competitive motorsport, which he now has. Since this time – and following some £45,000++ of development – it has been used only eleven times on track, and never close enough to the tyre wall to cause concern for the driver, or the next owner….

Being a West-Country resident, much of the set-up and development was under the watch of Historic Motorsport (South West) Limited, AmSpeed, and Litchfield in Tewkesbury. More recently, residing in North Yorkshire, near us, it has been maintained by JC Racing of Thirsk.

The mileage now is close to 79,000 miles. This car maintains road-legal status and has an MOT until June 2025. The engine remains the standard S54 power unit with no modifications, though did have new bearings in December 2023 with Litchfield. The 3.2 litre engine is good for c338bhp.
