This stunning Jaguar V12 E Type Roadster was completed on January 1st 1974 for export to the United States, where it remained until its repatriation to the UK in 2015. Acquired by a long standing client of ours in 2017, an avid collector of European sports cars whose vision was to create a unique ‘restomod’ V12 Roadster with exceptional looks and performance
Having acquired the car in original unrestored condition, a ground up body off restoration was commissioned with the brief to create a unique high performance V12 E Type Roadster that incorporated styling cues from the first series of the model, with Lightweight style rear bodywork, Series one style bonnet with covered headlights and powered by a bespoke uprated V12 drivetrain
The mechanical restoration was entrusted to longstanding Jaguar exponent Richard Beaty of Phoenix International, son of Ronald Beaty, a pivotal experimental Jaguar factory engineer for the V12 programme and founder of Forward Engineering, industry leaders responsible for the development of high performance V12 Jaguar engines that were later utilised in both Lister and TWR models
