  • First registered on the 1st June 1965, this Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Pagoda is an original UK-delivered RHD example.
  • Specified in this gorgeous shade of Light Beige with Tan vinyl interior, Brown folding roof and matching Brown hardtop – what a classy combo!
  • History of the car’s early life can be found within the history file from as early as the late 70’s, however the paperwork builds a much clearer picture from the mid 80’s onwards.
  • At some point, the car’s original ‘230’ engine was replaced with ‘Mercedes-Benz Factory Replacement’ 250 unit, and although there is no paperwork of when this was done, it is said to have happened in the 80’s. (Current V5 shows the correct engine number and displacement to support the 250 engine)
  • In 2006, the car was subject to a total restoration, including: body work, electrical, mechanical, interior and exterior.
  • The work was carried out by specialists, Andrew Flower Associates, and spanned all the way up until 2013 with invoices present in excess of £52,000.
  • In 2014 the car was acquired by the current owner, and under his ownership the car has continued to be cherished and maintained, with further invoices present from a variety of well-known Mercedes specialists totalling over £25,000.
  • Some of the highlights of this work are listed below:
  • Top-end Engine Rebuild
  • Rear Axle Rebuild
  • Heater Rebuild
  • All Wheel Bearings Replaced
  • Power Steering Seals Replaced
  • Brake Lines Replaced
  • Fuel Tank Replaced
  • In our opinion, this car is a wonderful testament to its previous owners. The passion and investment it’s received over the years is clear to see, and is a real joy to drive.
  • Whether you’re looking for an SL to enjoy on the weekend, a bit of touring or even some light historic road rallies, we really do believe this is a fantastic opportunity for somebody.
