About This Example

Finished in the iconic Rosso Corsa over Crema hide, complemented by Rosso carpets and stitching, this 2007 F430 Spider represents the perfect specification for many Ferrari purists.

The solid red exterior pays homage to the brand’s racing heritage, while the Pininfarina-designed lines ensure this modern classic continues to age beautifully. The five-spoke 19-inch alloys sit in front of tastefully specified red calipers, and the paintwork presents in fine order, with paint protection film applied to the front end – a testament to the meticulous care from previous custodians. Additionally, the fabric roof was recently replaced by the renowned specialists at Hoodtech, ensuring it remains in perfect working order for many years to come. The exterior also benefits from the Challenge Carbon Rear Grill, adding a sportier edge while breaking up the red at the rear, and Scuderia shields on the fenders, tied in with yellow centre caps, complete the timeless Ferrari aesthetic.

Inside, the Crema leather interior remains in exceptional condition, featuring the sought-after Daytona-style seats. The Rosso stitching and carpets provide the perfect contrast, and the seats have recently been refreshed, looking as close to new as possible. Carbon fibre is generously featured throughout the cabin, including the dashboard inserts, the central bridge, and the F430-badged trim above the centre vents, elevating the interior’s sporty yet elegant appeal.

This particular example has spent the majority of its life within a large private collection, carefully maintained and sparingly used, which explains its exceptional condition throughout. Unlike many examples that have led harder lives, this F430 Spider has been preserved to an incredibly high standard, ensuring it remains one of the finest on the market today.

Mechanically, this F430 is fully prepared for its next custodian, with nothing requiring attention. In August last year, it underwent an inspection and full service by distinguished specialists Bell Sport & Classic; ensuring everything is in top condition. Furthermore, its clutch was replaced earlier in the year, providing further peace of mind.

As a 2007 model, this example benefits from key improvements over earlier cars. Ferrari made refinements to the F1 transmission software, providing smoother, quicker gear shifts, making the driving experience even more engaging. Additionally, small but important updates were made to the E-Diff system, enhancing the car’s handling balance, particularly when pushing on through corners. These subtle refinements built upon what was already a highly accomplished driver’s car, making later F430s – like this one – the most desirable iterations before the introduction of the 458 Italia.

This era of Ferrari represents the pinnacle of pure driving engagement – a time when Michael Schumacher’s influence was still felt in the development of these cars, and before excessive electronics diluted the experience. With hydraulic steering, a naturally aspirated 4.3L V8, and the alfresco experience, the F430 Spider delivers an unfiltered connection between driver and machine. Even the commemorative “60 Years of Ferrari” plaque inside the cabin reminds us of what this car meant at the time – a celebration of Maranello’s rich heritage and engineering excellence.

With values at an all-time low and spring now here, there’s arguably no better time to experience this modern classic. Supplied with its original book pack, car cover, trickle charger with built-in adapter, both keys, and a stack of invoices, this F430 Spider is ready to be enjoyed.

About This Model

The Ferrari F430 marked a significant evolution for Ferrari when it debuted in 2004, replacing the 360 Modena. Designed by Pininfarina under the guidance of Frank Stephenson, it introduced a more aggressive and aerodynamic look inspired by the Enzo. The F430 was the first mid-engined Ferrari to feature an entirely new 4.3-litre naturally aspirated V8, producing 490 bhp and 465 Nm of torque. This powerplant, developed in collaboration with Maserati, was a significant departure from the Ferrari-designed engines of the past, offering a broader power band and a more exhilarating high-revving experience. With a 0-62 mph time of just 4.0 seconds and a top speed of 196 mph, it was a serious step forward in performance.

A key figure behind the F430’s development was Michael Schumacher, whose influence from Ferrari’s dominant F1 era was evident in the car’s engineering. The introduction of the Manettino switch on the steering wheel, inspired by Formula 1, allowed drivers to adjust suspension, traction control, and differential settings on the fly. Another first for the F430 was Ferrari’s E-Diff, an electronically controlled limited-slip differential derived from their F1 technology, which dramatically improved cornering ability by optimally distributing power to the wheels.

By 2007, Ferrari had refined the F430 further, ensuring peak reliability and performance. This model year benefited from improved build quality and minor refinements to the transmission and software, making it one of the most desirable years to buy. The F1 automated manual gearbox, though controversial among purists, was heavily revised by 2007 to offer quicker shifts and greater durability. Meanwhile, the traditional gated manual gearbox remained available, cementing the F430 as one of the last Ferraris to offer a truly analogue driving experience.

The F430 wasn’t just a technological leap forward; it also signified the last of an era before turbocharging and hybridisation entered Ferrari’s mid-engined lineup. It delivered raw, naturally aspirated emotion while embracing cutting-edge technology, striking a perfect balance between tradition and progress. Today, the F430 is recognised as a turning point for Ferrari, laying the groundwork for the 458 Italia while still holding onto the purity of the past.
