About This Example

A true analogue masterpiece, the 997.2 GT3 RS represents the final evolution of Porsche’s Mezger-engined, manual GT3 RS models – a car revered for its raw driving experience, motorsport pedigree, and mechanical purity.

Finished in Carrara White over Black Leatherette & Alcantara and only available with the Club Sport Package – featuring a black roll cage and six-point harnesses, further reinforcing its track-ready credentials – a reminder, every time you strap in, that you’re in the closest thing to a period Cup car.

Notably, theres no RS Script on-show, providing a cleaner, more understated aesthetic – a detail that reflects the philosophy of discretion over showmanship. For those who know, it speaks volumes as the ultimate iteration of Porsche’s track-focused 911.

To preserve its condition, the entire exterior has been fully protected with Xpel’s finest Paint Protection Film, ensuring it remains free from unsightly stone chips – a crucial factor for maintaining its pristine, well-cared-for finish for many years to come.

Inside, Guards Red seatbelts and door pull’s; Alcantara roof lining, steering wheel and gear lever provide the signature RS-focused interior details. Apple CarPlay has also been professionally integrated, a highly desirable upgrade that modernises usability without compromising the car’s analogue character. With seamless access to Waze, Spotify, and other essential apps, it strikes the perfect balance between classic driver engagement and modern convenience.

This example has been meticulously maintained with an OPC-stamped service history, most recently serviced at Porsche Centre West London in October 2024 – just over 100 miles ago.

Crucially, this is a car that can be driven and enjoyed without hesitation. Lower-mileage examples demand a considerable premium, but often at the cost of enjoyment – where every additional mile feels like a compromise. This RS presents exceptionally well throughout, and without an odometer reading, one could easily mistake it for a car with 30,000 fewer miles.

With its high-revving 3.8 Mezger flat-six, short-ratio 6-speed manual, and lightweight chassis, the 997.2 GT3 RS is widely regarded as the peak of analogue Porsche performance. As the last of its kind, this example offers a rare opportunity to own a truly iconic modern classic – one that delivers an unfiltered, visceral connection between driver and machine.

About This Model

The ultimate evolution of Porsche’s naturally aspirated, track-focused 911, the 997.2 GT3 RS built upon its predecessor with a larger and more powerful 3.8-litre Mezger flat-six, producing 444 bhp at 7,900 rpm and 430 Nm of torque.

As the final GT3 RS to feature the legendary Mezger engine, this model marked the end of an era before Porsche transitioned to newer powerplants in the 991 generation. Paired exclusively with a short-ratio 6-speed manual gearbox, the 997.2 GT3 RS delivers a truly analogue and engaging driving experience—one that is increasingly rare in modern performance cars.

Aerodynamic refinements over its predecessor included a larger carbon-fibre rear wing, wider front and rear track, and a more aggressive front splitter to enhance downforce and stability. The Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system was further developed, working in harmony with dynamic engine mounts to sharpen high-speed handling. A strong emphasis on lightweight engineering saw the use of a polycarbonate rear window, titanium exhaust, and a single-mass flywheel, contributing to a DIN weight of just 1,370 kg.

In the UK, the 997.2 GT3 RS was a rare and highly sought-after model, with an estimated 100-150 cars delivered. Many UK examples were specified with the Clubsport Package, which added a half roll cage, fire extinguisher, and six-point harnesses for enhanced track capability.

With its razor-sharp dynamics, motorsport pedigree, and high-revving Mezger flat-six, the 997.2 GT3 RS is widely regarded as one of the greatest driver’s cars Porsche has ever built. Today, it remains a holy grail among enthusiasts—not just as the last Mezger-engined GT3 RS, but also as the last manual GT3 RS. Its status as an iconic modern classic is firmly cemented.
