Exterior
This beautiful RS Clubsport presents immaculately with a deep glossy shine to the original Guards Red paintwork. The 993’s clean lines look sensational beneath our studio lighting and aside from some expected light frontal stone chips the body is almost entirely blemish-free. Even on close inspection it really is hard to find fault with this one. The glass is all-original, the headlights are clear and unmarked, and the factory Speedline wheels are first-rate with only very minor patination to the outer rims. Looking along both sides of the car there are absolutely no dents or scratches, and the shut lines are perfect all round.
Interior
The car’s incredible condition continues inside with unworn Recaro bucket seats and a steering wheel that looks and feels like new; even commonly worn areas such as the driver’s outer bolster and gear knob are perfect. In fact, aside from some very minor wear to the paint in the driver’s footwell, the interior of the car is spotless. The dash is free of marks and damage from overexposure to the sun, and all the switchgear is still reassuringly solid to operate. With the factory deletion of a radio and electric windows, this example is rare in that it is equipped with air conditioning.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The matching-numbers 3.8-litre flat-six fires up first turn of the key and idles smoothly up to temperature. The engine bay is truly immaculate and presents without any of the usual signs of wear you might expect to find on a car of this age. Having just been treated to a full inspection and major service at the current mileage, the mechanics of the car are in fine fettle. The underside is also notably fresh with no corrosion issues or signs of previous poor repair.
History File
Supplied new in Germany (code C00) in late 1995, this stunning left-hand drive example is one of only 227 993 Carrera RSs produced in the highly sought-after Clubsport specification. Accompanying the car is the original Porsche leather document wallet, a fully stamped service booklet, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, spare key, and a raft of invoices further verifying the car’s low mileage.
