In my minds eye the QV is the one to have of the 308's - I know everybody wants the original Plastic one, nowadays called the Vetroresina although I never heard this monica in period, it was called the GRP version then
Anyhow the steel cars were better made and when the fuel injection was introduced the car was much easier to start, on any occasion, but lacked the originals get up and go
Hence when the QV (4 valves per cylinder) appeared the pep was brought back into her acceleration and with the new tyre technology of the Michelin TRX she was more sure footed in the corners as well
All round a better car, and more importantly still keeping the delicate look of the former models - the 328 made the shape look more modern but lost the delicacy of the original shape
Of course as you can see, finished in "traditional" Rosso Corsa with tan leather interior this little beauty is in very sharp condition
Paintwork is very bright and shiny, with a freshly restored interior, by our friends at Radley Motors, who have serviced her more recently too - in fact they sold her to our chum, who has enjoyed her without hiccup for the last few years
She is only for sale as he has an eye on one of our E Type's and he hasn't got space for two classics in his garage at home in Belgravia
She is ready to go, has her original tools, book pack, instruction manual and service book as well
A real cracker, she accelerates hard and makes an incredible whale as you rocket through her gears!!
