1967 Ford Mustang 'Rally'

THIS CAR

  • Originally delivered to America in 1967.
  • Developed in the 70’s as a coast to coast long distance rally car.
  • Later shipped to Australia in the mid 90’s with a view to being further developed within FIA regulations to compete with long distance rally’s, and as such was a competitor in the following events:
  • The Arctic Pacific
  • London to Sydney
  • Pan-am Series
  • After the completion of these events, the car was converted to RHD and laid up for a few years ahead of being shipped to the UK. Once the it had arrived, re-commissioning was instructed with a view of the car being entered into the 2004 but sadly they missed the deadline due to the works not being completed in time.
  • Between 2006 and present, the car has been owned by 2 like minded individuals. Within this time it has competed on a variety of rally’s, and is now only offered for sale as the current owner fancy’s a change of car to continue onto more adventures.

  • Seam welded & gusseted shell – including welded multipoint cage & strengthened suspension mounts
  • Raised & uprated suspension all round (provision for double shocks has been made to the rear)
  • Koni uprated shock absorbers
  • Mass racing 302 engine with a 5-speed box
  • McCloud racing clutch
  • Torque biased rear diff with competition half shafts set in a gusseted axle
  • Power assisted steering
