1965 Ford Mustang convertible - The droptop American icon 17 April 1964 saw the launch of the iconic Ford Mustang at the worlds fair in New York by Henry Ford II. The same day, Ford launched the mustang at all dealerships across America and by the end of day they had sold 22,000 mustangs and over the subsequent year they had sold 400,000 mustangs. The success of the mustang followed the simple muscle car mantra, reasonably priced and powerful. The mustang was both. Featuring the 4.7L 289 V8 and the 3 speed automatic, the example that we have here at Kaaimans is one of the best of the market. Finished in bright red with a red leather interior, this example has had a restoration at the Mustang workshop, costing over £15,000 and going from the engine to the wheels it has had no expense spared with the full restoration. The car really does need to be seen in person to truly appreciate it.
