A believed 1 of 1 RHD Yugo convertible with just 1,400 miles!

HISTORY

In 1989 Yugo UK got delivered a right hand drive Yugo Cabrio in yellow to photograph for its brochures and to show at the British Motor Show. This is that car – believed to be the only Yugo Cabrio made in right hand drive. The car has never been registered and has only 1,400 miles on the odometre. The miles have accrued due to the car being photographed on Bridlington beach for the brochure then being sent around all the dealers to demonstrate and drum up interest – sadly the Yugoslavian war put paid to any future for this model in the UK. We are in the process of trying to get the car registered for UK roads which will therefore give us an age-related plate, V5 and MOT if we are successful. The car was discovered unused at the back of a Minardi F1 facility – Minardi F1 was owned by Paul Stoddart who was also the UK Yugo distributor. On arrival at Stone Cold Classics we have changed the oil and filter, brake fluid, coolant and changed the cambelt, plus fitted new tyres all-round. The car runs and drives superbly and the roof works as it should.
