The Giallo Ginestra paintwork looks sublime on this low mileage Evo II. The bumpers are free from any scuffs or scrapes and the glass is original Solextra throughout. The car sits on the correct 16-inch alloy wheels, all absolutely pristine, but what really makes this one so special is the excellent rust-free condition of the underside and body. The car was supplied new in Italy and so is equipped with the right EU-spec headlights and side repeaters. All in all, a very smart and useable example of one of the rarest and most sought-after Evo II variants.
The interior is exceptional. Unique to the limited number Giallo Ginestra model the Recaro seats are trimmed in soft black Alcantara with a contrasting yellow stitch, and we’re pleased to report that everything is first-rate. The bolsters are undamaged, the fabric is unmarked, and there are no signs of wear in any of the usual areas. The original carpet is also spotless and is protected in the footwells by a complete set of high quality HF overmats. Glancing across the dash and centre console there are no cracks or loose trims to note. The factory-correct Momo Corse steering wheel is also excellent with an unfaded red stitch and a perfect grain to the leather.
The engine bay is tidy, not overly dressed to a concours standard but in nice original condition with no paint damage to the red cam cover. The car benefits from a recent service and timing belt change with a few other items including a new water pump, clutch master cylinder, and four new tyres.
In 1993 Lancia built its first special edition Integrale Evo II. With a special colour combo unique to the limited production run of only 220 examples, the aptly named Giallo Ginestra was an instant hit. This particular car left the factory in October 1993 and was first registered in Italy two months later. In early 1994 it was exported to Japan where it would remain until late 2023. Residing on Japan’s salt-free roads all its life – and covering only 46k miles during that time – neither the body nor underside have ever suffered from any of the usual rust issues that have plagued most Integrales.
Since arriving in the UK the car has received a general shakedown and service. MOT’d with no advisories it is also fully UK registered with all taxes having been paid on arrival into the country. Within the accompanying History File the lucky new owner will be presented with the Lancia ‘Certificato Di Origine’ confirming the car’s authenticity, an original Lancia sales brochure and Evo II quick reference handbook, service history documents from new, import paperwork, marque specialist invoices, the current MOT certificate (valid until April 2025), the V5C registration document showing 0 former keepers, and a set of spare keys.
