Introduced in 1961, the all British made E-Type became the car to have for celebrities and enthusiasts alike. Its timeless, sleek and iconic nature gave it the title of “The most beautiful car” given by Enzo Ferrari himself and is arguably one of the most beautiful cars to ever roll off the production line. This car revolutionised the way sports cars are built and defined what a true sports car is and should be.

We are proud to offer this remarkable 1970 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 4.2l roadster, presented in an absolute immaculate, fresh out of restoration, condition. This E-Type was originally delivered to South Carolina, USA in 1970, only being imported back to the UK and converted to RHD in 2018. Leading up to that, the car had been stored for 20 years prior in a barn, however remained in remarkably good shape. After the 2 years that followed repatriation, the car was viewed as a great basis for a total rebuild, therefore being put through a complete, specialist restoration by International Restorations, with all the parts being either replaced or rebuilt after being completely stripped to the chassis, with no expense being spared. There is a full description of the restoration process also available. Since its rebuild, it has only done 30 miles on a test run, displayed on the original speedometer that shows the car has only done just under 30000 miles in its life.

This stunning restored example is offered in a completely immaculate, “like-new” condition through the combination of a superb restoration and careful ownership, seen not only cosmetically, but mechanically as it performs perfectly. The up-holstered interior is finished in an exquisite dark blue, that goes brilliantly with the iconic classic Jaguar, opalescent silver blue finish, paired with the dark blue soft roof for harsher conditions. There is a substantial level of history with the car, along with all the documentation of ownership and registration for it as well as the Jaguar Heritage certificate. This concourse example will be a very welcomed addition to any standard of collection, or anywhere it goes as it could not be in a greater condition.
