2014 Abarth 695C

The Abarth 695 Edizione Maserati edition was launched in 2012 at the Paris Motor Show and followed the hugely successful 695 Tributo Ferrari project. The car featured exclusive style details and special technical features developed by Abarth engineers for Maserati.

It was a limited-edition production with only 499 examples built for Europe with just 20 being produced in right hand drive format. The exterior and interior styling take many hints from the Maserati brand, including the Neptune rims and custom exhaust tips. There is a dedicated Alutex plate, bearing "695 Edizione Maserati” and its individual number on the centre console.

Mechanically, the car comes with the 1.4 Litre Turbocharged T-Jet 16V engine producing just over 180bhp, mated to variable back-pressure dual mode exhaust that improves engine performance, creating a 0-60 mph in just 6.9 seconds, and delivers a fantastic sound above 3,000 rpm. A sport mode further increases the sensitivity of the driving experience, improving throttle response, steering weight and the sound of the car.

The Abarth Competizione gearbox with steering wheel paddles transforms its character and it has been highly praised as being one of the best hot hatches to drive. The chassis has been designed to cope with the extra power and the car benefits from a few other tweaks including the Brembo Monobloc Callipers and exceptional Koni shock absorbers which transform the ride quality.

At the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, Abarth launched a limited run of 49 cars finished in a special 'Record Grey' colour to celebrate the establishment of the Abarth brand that took place in 1949. For this reason, special cars were identified by a plate placed inside the car with sequential numbers from 1 to 49.

The RHD Record Grey example we are pleased to offer for sale was produced in 2014 and features a black fabric convertible roof with Sand Beige leather interior. This example is no. 15 of 49 and sits today in superb condition showing under 12,000 miles from new.
