With a name taken from Spanish bullfighting breeder Francisco Gallardo, the Gallardo was the second car produced under Volkswagen AG, and with its futuristic lines, utilisation of the glorious naturally aspirated V10 it has proved to be a staple of the Lamborghini line up, spanning a decade and with over 14,000 units sold worldwide good examples are becoming increasingly scarce and desirable. 

The LP570-4 ‘Superleggera’ in our humble opinion is the pinnacle of the Gallardo breed. A lightened, tweaked version of the LP560-4, Lamborghini set about track focussing the Gallardo, with lashings of carbon fibre, alcantara, additional modifications to bumper, skirts, spoiler and diffuser among its arsenal to reduce weight and improve handling. The result? A new scale reading of 1340kg, 0-60 dash of 3.2 seconds, top speed of 204mph and the birth of a very special car.
