We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning 1969 Morgan 4/4, a true icon of British motoring heritage. First registered in January 1969, this exceptional vehicle started its life as a demonstrator for the prestigious London dealer Basil Roy Ltd. It even had a starring role in a Texaco promotional film before finding its first private owner in the charming village of Virginia Water, Surrey.

In 1973, WLR 892G returned to the Morgan factory for an expert rebuild following an accident. During this meticulous restoration, the car was thoughtfully updated to 1973 specifications. In April 1975, it was sold by Peter Morgan himself, now resplendent in the vibrant red that graces the car today. The discerning new owner cherished this Morgan for nearly five decades, using it as their cherished daily driver until 2010 when an extensive restoration was commissioned with Tudor Motors of Market Drayton. The restoration was carried out with an investment of £26,000, ensuring that every detail was attended to with precision and care.

Restoration Highlights:

  • Engine expertly rebuilt to a robust 1700cc, delivering enhanced performance
  • Upgraded with a smooth 5-speed gearbox for effortless driving
  • Complete re-wiring for reliability and safety
  • New steering box for precise handling
  • Modern dual circuit brakes for improved stopping power
  • Brand new fuel tank
  • Fresh, gleaming red paintwork that turns heads
  • Luxurious new black interior offering comfort and style
  • New wet weather gear ensuring readiness for all conditions

Since this comprehensive restoration, this Morgan has covered a mere 5,000 miles, preserving its like-new condition. It remained in the care of its devoted long-term owner until earlier this year, when it was purchased by our client. Now, following a recent bereavement, this meticulously maintained Morgan 4/4 is being re-offered for sale.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a piece of automotive history, a car that has been cherished, restored, and preserved with passion. The combination of its provenance, expert restoration, and classic British design makes this Morgan 4/4 a truly irresistible addition to any collection.
