Fully restored with no expense spared, this beautiful 1963 Triumph TR4 is ready for a new custodian to take. Previously in the care of a long-term, loving owner who regrettably did not use it enough, this stunning British drop-top cruiser is now available for purchase.
The current owner has had the car since 1989, and it was originally imported from sunny California.
The full nut and bolt restoration on this wonderful TR4 began in 2016 and was completed in 2018/19 by the renowned car restorer Chris Redfern. The car was completely stripped down, with every part repaired or replaced to the highest standard. Only the front seats were not re-upholstered, as they remain in excellent condition and help maintain the interior’s period-correct appearance. Additionally, a brand-new vinyl roof has been installed.
The engine and carburettors were also stripped and rebuilt. Although the specialist who performed this work has since passed away, and unfortunately, we lack detailed paperwork, however it is clear that the work was carried out to the highest standards. The overall cost of the restoration exceeds £40,000 and is supported by photographic evidence.
The car also received several upgrades to enhance its drivability, including:
Additionally, it is common for TR4 owners to upgrade to MX5 seats for long-distance cruising. The current owner has a set of these seats available for inclusion in the sale.
