1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Eleanor | Finished in Ford Performance Blue with Black Leather Interior.
Registered and delivered new in at San, Jose CA in 1967, this Fastback started life as a 390 CID car (True S code car); many hands were involved in making this dream a reality. The body work was mastered by Desert Mustangs in Scottsdale AZ. Making the circuits and was sold at Barrett-Jackson in 2006. The car subsequently underwent extensive work on the drivetrain to make this unique Mustang useable.
The engine is a fully built, bored and stroked 398 CID V8 that started as a 351 Cleveland- the engine is now mated to a very special built Tnemec T56 six speed box. All the supporting parts and modifications are extremely desirable and able to manage the 575 horsepower the engine now produces. A custom switchable exhaust has also been installed to provide the driver with 2 sound options, triggered by a switch that sits in the centre console.
All of this is backed by a Ford 9-inch rear differential, with 3.89:1 gear and a locking differential. This is a true Resto-mod and includes air-conditioning, power steering and power brakes, upgraded suspension, stereo including a large amp, making this Eleanor extremely usable and enjoyable to drive.
Since arriving in the UK, no expense has been spared to get this magnificent car to the highest possible level. This Eleanor has undergone another round of extensive work, at both The Mustang Workshop and Topaz Detailing. The Mustang Workshop performed a thorough health check and fixed any and every small issue. Also upgrading several parts including, the exhaust, suspension, bearings as well as a retune and more. After that, a full restoration and re-spray at Topaz Detailing London was carried out. This included rust repair on the minimal area’s affected, a complete strip down to bare metal painstakingly ironing out any imperfections in the body work and a respray in Ford Performance Blue. In keeping with the blue theme as this car left the factory in 1967 painted in blue. The iconic racing stripes are painted and completely flush, there is no vinyl used like a lot of other Eleanor’s. New Chrome finishings and rubber seals were fitted that were imported from the US. It has also received a ceramic coating from Topaz. The work at Topaz alone took over 9 months.
If you are looking for a unique Eleanor that drives as well as it looks- this is your car. UK registered with all duties paid, this Mustang is ready to drive away and be enjoyed by its next custodian.
