CHASSIS # 470R | ENGINE # DC75

According to factory records, Chassis No. 470R was originally fitted with Sedanca de Ville coachwork by Hooper. This coachwork remained in place until the early 1970s. The current sporting tourer coachwork was fitted before shipping the car to its new owner, Dr. John McCollum of Dillon, Montana, in 1973. Dr. McCollum kept 470R until 1990, when The Real Car Company repurchased it and re-imported it before reselling it. The car was then cherished by a single owner until 2014, when it was once again purchased by The Real Car Company. They undertook significant engine work, including a bottom-end rebuild with new white metal and new pistons. The Real Car Company continued to service 470R for the next owner before brokering the sale to our client in the winter of 2023.

470R is our client's first experience with a pre-war car. He quickly mastered the learning curve and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Now, he is ready for his next pre-war car and has taken a liking to another car we have off-market. Adhering to a strict one-in, one-out policy, 470R is now offered for sale.

In summary, this attractive Phantom I tourer features P100 'bullseye' headlights, a narrow windscreen, twin side-mounted spare wheels, and a spacious luggage compartment, exuding both class and practicality. The rear compartment houses an impressive high-quality cabinet, almost Baroque in design, showcasing the luxury and attention to detail characteristic of Rolls-Royce.
