In 1973. Porsche offered three 911 variants: the 911T. the 911E and the 911S. The 911T was traditionally equipped with carburettors. However. in mid-1973. Porsche converted the car to Bosch’s new fuel injection system named K-Jetronic a/k/a CIS (Continuous Injection System). This variant of the 911 – the 1973. 5 911T with CIS – was described by Peter Zimmerman as follows:

“. Finally! Porsche builds their first ’10’! This is the one model that deserves its own chapter. . All things considered. this is the smoothest. most pleasant of all early 911s to be built to date to drive. The engine. at all RPM levels. is responsive and has sufficient torque to allow use at very low engine speeds. . The 2. 4 liter displacement engine delivers enough horsepower and torque to enjoy in almost any driving situation. . The folks at the Porsche factory knew they were building really special models. ”

The addition of CIS boosted the car’s base horsepower from 130 to 148 and made it competitive with the higher priced 911E. Interestingly. the addition of CIS gave the car an impressive fuel economy of roughly 32 mpg.

In 2016 the car had £8000+ spend at Paul Stephens and £1200 at Prill on service. tuning and improvements to include AC Compressor which now works faultlessly and ICE cold. LED front lamps. UK spec front and back over riders etc.

In the same year the car did a classic rally in Denmark and went to the Skagen on the North sea and back some 3000km without fault

The car presented flawlessly when it left for Italy in 2017 and has been maintained by Porsche specialists Old Factory Garage with invoices for servicing and overhaul of the fuel injection system on file.

The engine is completely tight and fully refurbished along with gearbox. brakes. fuchs wheels and the new stainless steel exhaust.

This 911 wants for nothing.
