EQUIPMENT

Metallic Silver paintwork, Black half leather Recaro sports seats, 5-speed manual gearbox, Sport equipment: 16-inch forged Fuchs alloy wheels, Front and rear spoilers, Sports shock absorbers, Turbo-type steering wheel; Electric door mirrors, Electric windows, Electric sunroof, Spare wheel, Tool kit, Spare key, C16 (UK specification).

EXTERIOR

The silver paintwork looks superb against the period style Martini stripes and Fuchs wheels. Having just been treated to a full detail and machine polish the body maintains a sharp glossy shine with no swirl marks to report. In line with the mileage there is an honest dusting of small chips but certainly nothing to detract from the car’s overall highly impressive finish. Elsewhere around the car all the black plastics and rubbers remain in fine fettle with no sun damage or marking. On arrival with us the underside of the car was inspected and was found to be in very solid original condition.

INTERIOR

The interior also presents really well with minimal wear to the deeply bolstered sports seats – a desirable factory option with half leather and striped cloth inserts. The original carpets are also in excellent shape and are protected in the footwells by black over-mats. All the switchgear operates as it should, including the electric sunroof. Under the bonnet the luggage compartment is very tidy with the spare wheel and tool kit both still present.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

Reading through the accompanying history file it’s clear that the car has been maintained to a high standard throughout its life. A raft of documents are present dating back to 1982 from either Porsche main agents or marque specialists. Recent works include: Gearbox oil change, brake fluid change, calipers, discs & pads replaced all-round, Stainless-steel brake hoses and exhaust muffler fitted. In 2010 at 78k miles the engine was fully re-built by Porsche specialists Hendon Motors at a cost of £7,813.

First registered in August 1979, this 911 SC Sport was supplied new by Swinford Motors Ltd in Stourbridge. The original maintenance booklet is still present and there is a stack of invoices dating back to 1982 for parts and work carried out over the years.
