'Coombs' Tribute

'Blow your socks off' fast!

Through Jaguar's storied history, few tales are as captivating as that of the competition E-Types, the first of these delivered to none other than Coombs Racing Team, chassis S850006. This car became the basis of over 17 Competition cars from Jaguar thereafter, showing its importance, and is what our car is a tribute to. The registration number is even appropriate, chassis S850006 wearing 4 WPD, and ours 9 WPD.

The cars underpinnings are a UK-supplied 1973 Series III. Now of course, something completely different. Now she has an aluminum bonnet, adorned with extended louvres for enhanced cooling, under the bonnet a monster 6.1-litre V12 4 cam engine, aero features & cooling features, updated interior for comfort, immense power from the 6.1-litre 4 cam V12 mated to a 5-speed Getrag gearbox, allowing its considerable power to be delivered with both grace and efficiency.

Driving this car, you can feel its power un-like most other road cars. The precision of its gearbox, the responsiveness of its engine, and the aerodynamic enhancements all work in concert to create a drive that's as thrilling as it is smooth and controllable. You really feel like you are in the Stirling Moss trophy at Goodwood.

The exhausts, or "trumpets," as one might fittingly describe them, emit a growl so magnificent, you hear it before you see it. The sound is exactly as you would want it to be. Just heavenly.
