EXTERIOR

Finished in timeless Avus Silver with a glossy Phantom Black roof that’s unique to the model, this low mileage 240ps TT is one of only 1,000 quattro Sports supplied new in the UK. Distinguishing exterior features include duotone paintwork, special 18-inch alloys, a more aerodynamic front bumper, a larger rear spoiler, and black exhaust tips. Looking closely around the car the condition is very presentable, and although not perfect it’s still a nice, straight example. Some remedial paintwork has been carried out in the past but resultingly there are fewer stone chips and marks to report. All the lights are nice and clear, and the fifteen spoke wheels are in excellent kerb-free condition. Some bubbling has started on the aluminium roof trims and a small amount of lacquer peel is evident around the rear badge. The alloys are shod in matching Pirelli PZero tyres with at least 7mm of tread remaining at each corner.

INTERIOR

Spec’d from new with the optional heated Sports seats, Bose sound system and Audi Concert II stereo, the interior is a great place to be. In line with the low mileage the upholstery presents in excellent condition and hints at only light use. Soft textured Alcantara extends from the seats to the steering wheel and on to the gear knob and hand brake, again all in very good order. In the footwells the carpets are well protected by tailored overmats, and we’re pleased to report that the air conditioning is ice cold following a recent recharge. All in all, a very smart and original interior, the only negative to report being some missing pixels in the driver’s information display – a common TT issue and an inexpensive fix.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

Barely run-in with only 42k miles under its belt the turbocharged 20v engine is as potent as ever; paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and quattro four-wheel drive system, zero to sixty can be achieved in under six seconds. For the new keeper’s peace of mind the car has just returned from having a full inspection, major service, and brake fluid change carried out by our trusted classic car workshop. Other recent work includes replacement of the cambelt and water pump in September 2023 at 42,417 miles. The MOT is valid until October 2024.
